I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution, declaring the separation of state and religion; America as a democratic nation was very much NOT “raised on God”, although you are free to believe what you like… also in the constitution, as The Dread Pirate Roberts mentions.
It does raise the question though – by printing money with the motto ‘In God We Trust’, does the U.S. Treasury breach the 1st amendment?
