Bobby, How did you come

Bobby,

How did you come up with such an amazing theory? Its amazing that a faggot like you could be so brilliant. I love it when people think they are soooo smart. It brings a smile to my face. I can’t wait to meet the spaghetti monster, so I can eat him in one setting. This country was raised on god, “In god we trust.” If you don’t think he’s real, then get the hell out of here. Spaghetti is for the birds.

Love, Brad

“If you were to consume 50 peach seeds right now, I can guarentee that you would never get cancer. That may just be because you would die of cyanide poisoning, but whatever.”

Yep. and if you’re ever in the arctic and manage to kill a polar bear, make sure to eat its liver. i was surprised to find out how toxic such vast amounts of Vitamin-A can actually be.

Hmmm, people (european people that is)first came to the new world because they wanted the freedom to belive in whatever religion they liked without being hunted down like dogs and burned at the stake. So,really’This country was raised on freedom of religion’ would be more in line with reality.

It’s obvious that both will survive the same; look at modern religions like scientology. Even if classical christianity/islamism/judaism is disproved with absolutely concrete evidence (that is, evidence that is so concrete that even fundies can’t deny it), in the future, people will make up deities to make themselves feel good. That is of course, the goal of all religions, to give people something to hold on to, to feel better in this life and have hope for the next. I know the FSM makes me feel good about myself because I don’t have to feel ashamed when I sin. I honestly believe in the FSM, no sarcasm, no satire, and in the future people will do the same. You can’t beat religion.

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution, declaring the separation of state and religion; America as a democratic nation was very much NOT “raised on God”, although you are free to believe what you like… also in the constitution, as The Dread Pirate Roberts mentions.

It does raise the question though - by printing money with the motto ‘In God We Trust’, does the U.S. Treasury breach the 1st amendment?

the last thing our country wants is a nation under god. then it would be a theocracy

    ““Spaghetti is for the birds.”

Are you saying you admit that the FSM has dominion over the birds? Would you concede then that the Swimming Spaghetti Monster rules the creatures of the sea? ”

Purchase the Gospel

An elaborate spoof on Intelligent Design, The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is neither too elaborate nor too spoofy to succeed in nailing the fallacies of ID. It's even wackier than Jonathan Swift's suggestion that the Irish eat their children as a way to keep them from being a burden, and it may offend just as many people, but Henderson, described elsewhere as a 25-year-old "out-of-work physics major," puts satire to the same serious use that Swift did. Oh, yes, it is very funny. -- Scientific American
