I bet that you really do believe in God and all of his good. It’s just that something in your past has hurt you so deeply that you’re angry because God let it happen and now you are turning on him. God lets bad things happen to people because this life is a test to see how you deal with problems, if you are good or evil and as a test to see how much you love Him. Everyone wonders what is life’s big secret? Why are we here? What is the meaning of life? I have the answer:
The golden rule. Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated. This is the essence of true love. Love is the ONLY THING THAT MATTERS. You’re life’s work, wealth and health are nothing without love. You will be rewarded or punished based upon your decisions. Are you going to lead the impressionable and the weak down a path that leads to nowhere? Or are you going to make a positive difference in this life? Even if you are not sure about God’s existence, wouldn’t you rather err on the side of Good? What is the harm in that? Don’t think for a second that I’m not sure, I am positive of His existence. To a believer, it is as obvious as your own existence. You do believe in yourself, right? Here’s another little tidbit:
You are an actual part of God.
Your website is a mockery of God and everything good he has done FOR YOU. If you think that you got to where you are now in life solely because of the decisions that you have made, think again. You have been guided. Now you have a choice. Denounce this website as an err in your judgment or you can continue to denounce God.
Non believers such as yourself put your faith in science and Proof. But how can one prove anything? How do I know that the sky is blue or water is wet or that I am typing this response? I can see the sky. I can feel the water. I can hear the keys being punched. I rely on my senses to show me what is real. It’s more than that though. I have FAITH in my senses to indicate the reality around me. There is no KNOW there is only BELIEVE.
I keep hearing that the more educated you are, the less likely one is to believe in God. That is true, up to a point. The top tier of intelligent people in the scientific community are starting to believe more in intelligent design i.e.-God. Physics has hit a wall. The explanations for 98% of the universe is beyond comprehension. Do some research and you will see what I’m talking about. Shit, science hasn’t even been able to reconcile quantum mechanics with relativity for 70 years!
It’s not too late to turn back. You believe in a lie perpetrated by someone who has expressed interest in the fall of humanity. I have a dare for you. Read the book “The Game of Life and How to Play”. It’s a short book with no mention of God in it, I promise. It was written in the 30’s by Florence Shovel Shin. One warning though: Once you read it, you can never go back. I read it 5 years ago and my life has changed for the better in too many ways to describe. There is no doubt.
So what’s it going to be? Stay on the path to nowhere or wrest control of your life back from- THEM? Forget the past. Brian, I am very surprized in the fact that you ended you post with “have fun in hell” when the Christian thing to do is try to convert us to Christian to save our soul. Ghandi is in hell, but I wouldn’t send Ghandi to hell, does that make me more moral than God? You seem very full of hate towards people who dont agree with you. I would never want to worship a God (or any god it seems so silly) that sent Ghandi to hell. Thats like supporting Hitler because he would have killed you if you hadn’t. It’s for saftey, I’m not going to hell because there is no hell. Nicely written, proper capitalization, good grammar structure, absence of profanity, and only a very slight curse, but appears to be in a the context of christian humor.
I give it a thumbs up for definitive lack of obscenities I’ve come to know and expect from others wanting to save my soul and spend eternity worshiping someone else.

Please tell me you believe in a faith which there is no solid proof to back up. Brian, just by reading your post, there is obviously something wrong with your idea. First of all, by reading a book, you are placing the writer in a divine perspective. Think about it. You said, “Once you read it, you can never go back. I read it 5 years ago and my life has changed for the better in too many ways to describe. There is no doubt”. When you said that, you also said, “I gave up my free will to think and ponder ideas. I took this book as the source of everything correct and holy”, if unknowingly. The fact is, books are written by mortals. There is no such thing as a divine revelation which can just infuse the person with the idea of God. If that were true, then we’d all have to believe Scientology as well. The writer is imperfect so therefore, there is obvious flaws in their writing. Simple concept. When you place the writer behind the background of a religion which has prosecuted anyone who is a “heathen” ever since it began, you are placing a monkey behind the gears of a hand crank. All the monkey’s doing is a repetitive process which they don’t understand but continue to do anyways. The monkey isn’t thinking but he will die cranking that same hand crank without idea of why.

So, lets pretend that God is real for a second. You are saying now that there is a being who killed 8 million Jews, 12 million Chinese, and 22 million Russians within the period of a few decades. Not to mention, he caused the pain and suffering of everyone to date. He molded every inhabitant to his liking so he could cast them to suffer and wants to be worshiped as the only TRUE deity. So, I ask you, what god would do this? I also would like to ask what God would throw the next eternity of the human population to be damned but yet send his son to be killed for what? It wasn’t to save everyone. No, he must pick and choose those who are loyal to him. He mustn’t let those who oppose him confront his power. So, here we now have a brutal dictatorship; a fascist governing body. These people, who are so blinded by the hopes of redemption will do anything to gain God’s trust and support. Where does this lead us? To a better world? No. People are what they are and no more. The divine beings of the old world are gone. They were the stories which taught morales and lessons to humans. While most have faded away, there are some which hold on stubbornly to the old ways without science. You see, God is a figment of people’s imagination. FSM counters God as the supreme being. Christians, as I was taught, have no idea of God’s true form and saying that he molded us to his design…is somewhat ridiculous if not completely absurd (much like the young-earth theory). Who says that FSM isn’t the real form of God? Since when did God ever have a defined form?

It’s not us who are holding to the past. We’ve already gotten past it. But it’s the Christians of today, like the United Christian Coalition, which forces us to battle the same battles we have fought years ago. The gay marriage issues, the advancement of technology and science, and alcohol consumption. Society is moving forward, but it’s also being held back by a crucial wheel which will not budge in this framework. Perhaps it’s time to smell the air Brian and open your mind.

Couple questions – which human invented God should I believe in? Abrahamic God, Roman God/Gods, Greek Gods, Exyptian Gods, Hindu Gods, American Indian Nauralistic Gods, Norse Gods, etc, etc, etc. All of these belief systems are different. If one is right , the others are wrong. How do I know which to believe in – they all have the same written books claiming they are right and everyone else is wrong, so that cant be the decieding factor – help me.

Science does not have all the answers for how the world works. It is ok to say I do not know. 100 years ago when people were sick, we were bleeding them to rid their bodies of evil spirits. I am not on a path to nowhere – here and now is all there is for everyone – sorry if the reality of that scares you – there is no everlasting anything – heaven is a human invented mythological place – but if you actually believe the Bible, then read Revelations – only 144,000 people will get into heaven, and the only ones who will make it are Jewish, male, virgins – look in the mirror – if that is not you, then you are out of luck – I’m not making this up, it is in the book of Revelations – actually go read it!!

So let me ensure I understand – achievements in this world, even if they promote the welfare of humanity, the advancement of human knowledge, these are all meaningless in Gods’ great book of record keeping. The idea of faith, which is not based on knowledge or experience or rational thinking arising from doubt, replaces the search for truth. So as to Gods decisions as to his companions in eternity, he prefers not the accomplished, not the brilliant, not the stimulating, not the outstanding achievers who may not conform, but instead prefers the docile, gullible, unquestioning, child like, non-descript, pathetic non-entities with nothing going for them but blind faith? A God who can choose his companions in eternity and prefers Jerry Falwell and Tammy Baker over Albert Einstein and Marie Curie? This would be a God who prefers base, boring , ignorant, foolish, and weak things! Fun loving party group – huh? Thank, but no thanks, if that is the choice, I will choose option B.

Please think very hard about what your religion is offering the people of the world, versus the pain, abuse, misery, and suffering that all religions are inflicting on humanity. Please try to base your world view on reality and not on 2000 year old mythological superstitions. The world needs you in it, not waiting for the end of it to see what your reward might be. The “have fun in hell” statement is exactly why non believers continue to take such a strong stance away from the greatness that is our God. Too many times Christians spread hatred towards those who do not believe. It is our job as Christians not to judge or belittle these people but instead pray for their redemption. To pray that one day they will see what is ultimately the truth. One can stand up for what they believe in without hurting another.
