You are a 25-year-old ignorant moron!
Actually, with the complexity of the universe we live in the Flying Spaghetti Monster theory has more credence than the theory of evolution that we just appeared out of some gobbly-gooked prehistoric soup; starting off as some one celled life form and eventually becoming a 25 year old idiot student who thinks that he is creative!!

*update* Charlie responds to some of the comments on this page:
Well, well. I struck a nerve amongst the educated ones. They object to my characterization of the writer as being an ‘ignorant moron.’ So sorry lads - and lasses as well! I mean no harm. I have thought about it and my words may have been too harsh. I would not really characterize anybody in that way normally; not without it being tongue-in-cheek. So sorry lads - and lasses!
No, it doesn’t take a great education to become completely empty inside. Nor does it take a great lack of it to become a faith-healer-visiting-tongue-speaking-rolling-on-the-floor fanatic. Both of these can occur anywhere between ignorance and higher education.
All I can say is consider the universe and life more closely - if for your own benefit. I am sorry that so many young people have bought into the notion of a meaningless life of chance and no purpose. It may play out well when you are in your 20s and feeling frisky but in the end it will only lead to lonliness, sadness, and despair. There is hope demonstrated in our universe. It is ever evolving and showing its glorious beginning and PURPOSE. It shows its remarkable design and points us to a place where we can have hope - hope that there is something beyond our educated minds.
My apologies - I did not mean to come across so harsh. Ignorant, maybe. A moron? Well others will have to be the judge of that.
‘Charlie’

ahhh! massive influx of unintelligible garbage!!!
Charlie me lad.
.
i see you have an adundance of bilgewater, but there’s no need to spread it here! i see you refer to credence. infering credibility, for something to be credible it requires proof not merely numbers of people who believe it to be so.
.
now charlie, you claim Bob is ignorant, something i suspect you’d also apply to the rest of the pastafarians. so how about a qualfication contest? i’ll kick off 2 post grad quals, the honours degree, and a few other professional quals at the last count. i reckon most of the poeple here are intelligent and can think of a better term than gobbly gooked soup.
.
so ‘fess up charlie, honestly, just how ignorant are you?
prehistoric soup - this is just one theory, now statistically it is unlikely that this could happen, but not impossible. But if you know anything about statistics then unlikely because very likely if you try enough times.
.
Earliest life is estimated at 3.85 billion years old and the eath is estimated at 4.55 Billion years old. That is a lot of chance for the unlikely to happen.
Charles H. Mavrogeorge, New Hampshire,
.
Well, look at that!
.
You come in here, shooting your keyboard off and slapping down the insults, and people take the time to respond.
.
If we could take an ‘ignorant’ person to be ‘one who ignores’, you can’t really say that of us, can you? And you have given us plenty of reason to ignore you, since you present yourself as such an unpleasant and unreasonable chap.
.
This claim of yours, about the Flying Spaghetti Monster being a more credible explanation of life than evolution. You state the theory of evolution as being ‘that we just appeared out of some gobbly-gooked prehistoric soup’. We have a word for this kind of summary in England, and that word is ‘bollocks’. Your Straw Man characterisation of evolutionary theory displays a massive ignorance of what is the sum total of centuries of diligent and painstaking work by the planet’s finest scientific minds (and it *is* centuries, for Darwin’s discoveries fall within the ongoing history of science). You do not understand evolution. This is okay, because it takes a bit of understanding. Try harder.
.
I’m going out on a noodle, here, but I’m guessing that you currently think there is a more credible explanation than both the Flying Spaghetti Monster and evolution?
.
Two quick questions, then:
.
1- What are we ignorant types being ignorant of when we fail to agree with you?
.
2-Is it anything like as gobsmackingly monumental as your ignorance of the very best effort that human race has made at explaining the existence of life, the universe and everything? (Thanks to Douglas Adams for the phrase, of course.)
.
I have I feeling I know what your opinion on Question 2 will be. But if your answer to Question 1 turns out to be a very old and inconsistent book, what your parents told you and the vociferous claims of millions of others like you, then I bet you can guess what my opinion will be, too.
Excuse me Charles, but who are you to say that?! By the sounds of it, you are a very ignorant person & shouldn’t critisise because personally, I think that the Flyin Spagetti Monster is a funny idea & I like it. However, it is only a joke, so there is no need for you to take it so seriously & get in a stress about it!!! I think that you are being stupid & unreasonable…..well, you know my opinion,
Gabby XxXLuv ya FSMlolXxX
Ol’ Charles probably goes to faith healers and rolls around in a frenzy speaking in tongues, and then calls US ignorant.
I’ve always wondered what prehistoric soup tasted like.
.
Probably chicken.
.
OEJ.
prehistoric soup not so tasty but essential for growing bones and species!
Any soup will do that if you leave it on the radiator for long enough. I find.
The reason Darwins theory was a theory was because no one can prove we evolved. We cannot figure out why we have appeared on this planet, and what we are here for. Us as humans, have come up with many ways to explain how we came to an existaence. Everyone’s idea is as perfectly reasonable as everyone else’s. Just because you don’t like someone else’s opinion, that’s no reason to be ignorant to the people who share the same belief.
By the looks of things, you are the one who is being ignorant here. You say he is ignorant for proposing his own idea for the creation of life? You have no right to do that, Charles.
Yaaaarrrrrr!
Hey, Jebus,
.
That’s a very friendly, balanced attitude and I absolutely respect it. In terms of attitude, I’m bang on your side.
.
But (there’s always a but) I’m not too comfortable with this bit:
.
‘Us as humans, have come up with many ways to explain how we came to an existaence. Everyone’s idea is as perfectly reasonable as everyone else’s.’
.
For something to be ‘reasonable’, it needs to have some good reasons and good reasoning behind it. Some ideas about where we came from are a lot more reasonable than others. One set of reasons might be the stacks of evidence, pored over, analyzed, discussed and argued about by extremely clever and diligent people for many many years, reaching a conclusion after their many ideas have been honed in tough cross-analysis between one another. Another set of reasons might be that you’ve always thought something, your family has always thought it, lots of other people you know think it and there’s an old book about it.
.
It’s reasonable that people will feel differently about things and be inclined towards different opinions. Those opinions themselves may be reasonable or not.
I don’t get how you can say one theory is equil to another? What the fuck have you been learning at school?
.
It is kind of like a race between and 30 F1 car and a VW beetle, and you saying that the VW beetle has as much chance of winning against the F1 cars? all the evidence points towards at least one of the 30 F1 cars creaming the beetle but still you keep saying your moneys on the VW.
.
The theory of Evolution is itself evolving every day, as people discover more parts and replace older parts but the basic idea has not taken any real big hit to its foundations. Darwin did leave a lot of gaps in his original theory but the foundations are solid.
I know that everyone has their own theories about how we got here and I know that there are many people who want to know the truth of our origins, but why the hell is it important? It’s the past, and sure enough evoloution will continue, but I say just leave it at that. We should concentrate on matters more relevant to today’s society. And quite frankly I don’t give a flying fuck about that either. Why do we as humans have to know these things? Why can’t we just leave things be? The world would be better off without us. I personally wish I was a fish. Life would be so much simpiler.
P.S It should be “We as humans, have come up with many ways to explain how we came to an existence. Everyone’s idea is as perfectly reasonable as everyone else’s.”
Sorry, but that was just really annoying me.
Uomo Felice Della Pasta,
Simply by knowing where we came from helps us define who we are. If evolution is proven then it is yet another nail in the coffen of the existance of God, if it is widely excepted that God does not exist then this will have huge implications on how humans view themselves and how they thus then behave.
.
Without a belief in heaven then it would be that little bit harder for people to convince others to blow themselves up (not impossible but harder). This is just one example.
.
While evolution itself will not destroy theories on God it is already largely responsible large amounts of the world population leaving religion behind and the more it is talked about the more ground religion looses. Please don’t underestimate the significance of this.
.
Imagine how hard it would have been for the taliban to convince the women of Afganistan that they were not as important men with out the words of God.
Prehistoric soup probably had pasta in it, anyway - most good soup does!
But I think he meant PRIMORDIAL soup - prehistoric soup probably had dinosuar meat in it (as well as pasta).

‘Charlie’
“hope that there is something beyond our educated minds.”
Something that does not have to be a god.
In fact, perhaps “something” is the universe. And that hope you’re talking about could include the hope that we can learn about it, until it is no longer beyond our minds.
FSM is a proven fact, how else did Giants win the Superbowl when it was predestined to the Pats……hahahahaha.
FSM took care of that, just read Mark 5-21, yea and it came to pass that the FSM doth twat da Pats, so and so etc. Jaysus!
